We hope that many Covid 19 restrictions will be lifted by September, however, the government currently don't plan to vaccinate young children against
Coronavirus.
For this reason, for the foreseeable future, we will continue to take the following steps to minimise the risk of infection among our children. These
include:-
- Restricting the total number of children attending (Maximum of 20 children instead of 29)
- Retaining the same staff team at every session
- Ensuring that the same children attend on all 3 days that we are open
- Making sure that children play outdoors as much as possible in line with current government advice
- Sanitising equipment at the beginning and end of every session and throughout the morning whenever necessary
- Monitoring the health of every child every day on entry to the setting
- Restricting unnecessary visitors to the setting; limiting the time spent on the premises if a visit is unavoidable
- Insisting on parents/carers wearing masks or face coverings when dropping off/collecting their child
- Providing hand tissues, sanitising stations and hand washing facilities
- We currently have sole use of the premises to avoid mixing with other large groups of children
In addition, we have a large airy building that is divided into play/work areas - this enables children to play in spacious surroundings, avoiding the need to be
too close to others in their group.
By September, we expect that all our staff will have been vaccinated, although restrictions will of course, remain in place for the benefit of our children and
their families.
Places are beginning to be allocated for the Autumn term so call or email the nursery today to avoid disappointment
